Features of 2007 Festival

The Leo J. Ryan Park Amphitheater in Foster City (650 Shell Boulevard) will come alive to the romance of the South Seas at the fourth annual Polynesian Festival on Saturday May 5, 2007, from 10 AM to 5 PM.

 

With the theme “Romance in the South Seas: Marriage and Family Traditions in Polynesia,” visitors to this annual event will be invited to imagine visions of pristine lagoons, secluded beaches and exotic tales of romance.  Opportunities will abound to learn about various aspects of romance in the south seas, including an opporutnity to witness the re-creation of an ancient Cook Islands marriage ceremony and traditional customs practiced by families today.
